I have yet to find my passion. As an upperclassman in high school, it is expected that you should know what your passion is but it has been a struggle to find out. Therefore, I do not have a passion but I do have something that I enjoy; art.
I started really getting into art as of 2018. The art ranges from drawing and painting to photography. I have had art classes throughout school but they were all basic courses. Ever since I have gone to my art based school, I have explored many more things in depth, that is why I have been improving and now enjoy it as much as I do. I am very thankful for the opportunities that I have.
Although I love art, I do not spend a lot of my free time at home painting or drawing. I rarely ever am in the mood to do so because of the fact that I take an hour every day of school to make art for a grade.
I get that I am being taught and that teaching certain techniques to art helps but it can be exhausting. So when I am in the mood to create something at home, I do not hesitate.
First, I get an idea that pops up in my head. Then I research what type of angles and how to draw bits and pieces of what I am envisioning. Normally, the sketch and research take up one night and burns me out. Last, (typically the next night) I begin to make the art.
The art that I make is not for anyone but myself because it is special to me. I do not want to go to a specific college for it and I do not want a career in it. It is just a hobby.
I do not revolve myself around my art but I appreciate it and the endurance and determination that I have to get better. Although not all of my art is perfect, I am proud of what I can create. It is something that I had no idea I was able to do.
