Technology has had a major impact in my life. I have been surrounded by technology since I was born. As I have grown up, the technology that is now perceived as “normal to have” and is vastly different than what I was surrounded with in my early years.

I am thankful for everything that it has helped people with and the advancements that it has made in our world today. That being said, I use my technology on a daily basis and there are multiple aspects of technology that are my favorite to use/entertain myself with.

My personal favorite social media app to use is Instagram. Instagram is a photo and video networking app with a clean look that allows you to connect with friends.

Connecting with friends consists of liking their posts, commenting on their posts, direct messaging them, and sending pictures or videos strictly to people that you choose.

I first got Instagram when I was in 5th grade while it was in its fairly early stages of becoming something that is now known as one of the most popular social media apps out there.

It is very simplistic and easy to navigate because all you have to do it scroll up or down on your phone. Along with that, the app has a maximum of 4 main buttons that you press on the main page.

Instagram is for posting pictures such as where you went for vacation and telling people what you have been up to or how much fun you are having. It is a fun and casual way to know what is going on with people you care about.

The app that I am using most often is Spotify. Spotify is a audio streaming app that is used to listen to music or podcasts.

I use Spotify to listen to music daily to pass the time while working, to entertain myself when driving, or to explore different music to listen to.

Music has had a huge impact on how I work. For example, as of right now while I am writing this post, I am listening to music. The reason for that is it helps me to concentrate and have a certain flow going as well as to help me focus on what I am supposed to do. Spotify has every song that you are looking for.

Everytime that I have searched a song, I have found it. I use the free version of Spotify which allows you to have 6 skips per hour, otherwise it is on a normal shuffle playlist. I have had this app since middle school and have made multiple accounts due to the fact that I forget my passwords most of the time.

The playlists that I have created are specific to my different moods that I have. Spotify allows me to make something that is specific to me and my taste, that is why I use it so much.

An additional form of technology that I thoroughly enjoy is my Xbox one. An Xbox one is a gaming console designed to have up to 4 players on that console at a time when playing a game that allows it.

I just recently purchased this item with my little brother because they do not make games for the Xbox 360 anymore. So far, we have since purchased multiple games to occupy our time.

Due to our decision on getting one, I have since been able to spend more time with my little brother while having fun. Technology brings people together in different ways and that is why I enjoy it so much.
